Winter Treks - Cross Country Skiing, Snow Shoes, Snow Mobiles
Welcome to our Winter Season, which we have planned for you in beautiful high country of central Sweden, near the Norweigan border. Safety is our foremost concern on these glorious treks, whether you are on skis, snow shoes or snow mobiles. We insist that you wear appropriate clothing, and especially wool underwear if you are venturing on top of the tree line where temperatures can go extremely low. Take a look at some of the exciting trips we have planned for you to book ahead when you come to visit us in this part of the world.

Option 2 Easier for skiing - along by the Österdalälven Fjätan river.
If ice is not set on the river, we begin from the bridge at Strupen and follow an easy going logging road approximately 4 km to the disaster area, which is approximately a 1 to 4 km round trip before heading back to Strupen, either on the logging road, or by the river.
TREK NOTES
The area of Göljån was devastated by a tsunami affect that followed a giant storm that hit the east side of Mt Fulufjället between August 30-31,1997. A natural phenomenon of this kind has not occurred in recent natural history, and probably not since the age of the Vikings. Keep an eye out for elk, wolf, lynx, wolverine and many species of birds on this trip - the Siberian Jay and the year round local - - the big black Lagopus.
